Capabilities

The JFHQ-DODIN Capabilities Directorate translates operational capability needs into capability development requirements while identifying and reducing capability gaps. It also develops processes, procedures and doctrine supporting the integrations of capability requirements and development across JFHQ-DODIN. We strive to deliver joint products that are mission-ready capabilities satisfying current and future mission needs to help ensure a more agile, adaptive and secure DODIN.

The Capabilities Directorate is the front door for JFHQ-DODIN's interaction with external stakeholders regarding defensive cyber capability development and acquisition. We are a team of multidisciplinary professionals who work towards delivering new and innovative capabilities from concept all the way to delivery in the operational environment.

We worked with U.S. Cyber Command in the development of Technical Challenge Problems that distill the most critical capability needs in order to share not only with cyber component commands of the individual military services, but with all levels of industry, the nation's research community, academia, and the rest of government.
