Our Directorates
J1 – Personnel Management & Security: Develops and administers military and civilian human resources, manpower and personnel policies, security, and personnel assignment programs.
J2 - Intelligence: Analyzes and integrates intelligence about adversary activity on the DODIN, providing cyber specialists across the DoD with timely, accurate and actionable intelligence.
J3 - Operations: Responsible for the global synchronization of DODIN operations and defensive cyberspace activities. Planning of future operations to coordinate and de-conflict defensive and offensive cyber operation mitigation strategies. DODIN Cyber Protection Teams provide operational reserve and active defense actions in support of global cyberspace operations including response to imminent cyber threats.
J4 – Logistics & Contracts: Provides contract and agreement development and oversight as well as space, facilities, and property management.
J5 - Plans & Policy: Develops and advocates cyberspace operational strategies, policies, contingency, and theater security cooperation plans, capabilities, and partnerships with DOD components.
J6 – Communications & Computer Systems: Provides and assures JFHQ-DODIN Command, Control, Communications and Computer Systems (C4) capabilities.
J7 – Training, Exercise & Readiness: Develops world-class cyber workforce, building DoD-wide defensive cyber force capabilities through doctrine, education, training, exercises, modeling, and simulation, wargames/TTXs, and readiness standards.
J8 - Requirements & Resource Management: Analyze and identify Joint capability requirements and Doctrine, Organizational, Training, Material, Leadership, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTLPF-P) solutions to optimize investments and mission effectiveness across the DODIN.
J9 - Joint Capabilities: Identifies and reduces capability gaps. Develop processes, procedures, and doctrine that support the integrations of capability requirements and development across JFHQ-DODIN.
J10 - DODIN Readiness & Security Inspections: Performs mission focused, threat-based assessments that emulate adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures, measuring the operational effectiveness of Defensive Cyberspace Operations to determine risk to the DODIN.
