Cyber Warfare Technician Master Chief Lisa U. Vita assumed the role of Command Senior Enlisted Leader of Joint Force Headquarters – Department of Defense Information Network (JFHQ-DODIN) in January 2025. In this role, she serves as the principle advisor to the commander on effective utilization of Joint military, civilian, and contractor personnel that command and control, plan, direct, coordinate, integrate, and synchronize DoDIN operations supporting Combatant Commands, Services, Agencies, and Field Activities. She is the primary enlisted advisor to the commander and staff in the formulation of policies concerning the morale, welfare, training, discipline, and use of Joint enlisted personnel.
Master Chief Vita enlisted in the Navy Reserve in 2002 and attended boot camp at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL. Her first assignment was at COMPACTFLT, HI, where she struck for CTM and attended Cryptologic Technician (Maintenance) "A" School at Center for Information Dominance (CID) Corry Station in Pensacola, FL.
She was stationed at NAVCOMTELSTA, IT, in 2007 and later mobilized as a Singals and Human Intelligence Analyst with Multi-National Force Iraq in Baghdad in 2008. Upon returning, she worked as Fleet Electronics Support at NIOC, HI. 2009-2012, Master Chief Vita worked with mobile communications while stationed at Joint Communications Support Element, HI. During this tour, the CTM rate was phased out of the Reserves, so she converted to CTN and attended Cryptologic Technician (Network) "A" School, Joint Cyber Analysis Course at Center for Information Dominance (CID) Corry Station in Pensacola, FL. Directly after, in 2013, she mobilized to support Joint Task Force GTMO to maintain a signals suite.
In 2014, she was assigned to the Navy Operations Support Center (NAVOPSPTCEN) in Santa Rita, Guam. While in the Senior Enlisted Leader (SEL) billet of the Operational Support Unit out of NAVOPSTCEN, she was selected for Chief Petty Officer and offered orders as the Command Chief.
In 2016, CWTCM Vita converted from Reserve to Active Component. She reported to the Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command (NCDOC), Suffolk, VA, to fill the positions of Battle Watch Captain, Defensive Cyber Operations Watch Officer, and Intel Division Chief. Her next duty station was NCOIC 550 Cyber Protection Team, Little Creek, VA. In April 2021, she was hand-selected to fill the role of Faculty Advisor at the Senior Enlisted Academy in Newport, RI.
Her personal awards include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and numerous unit and campaign awards. She holds a master's degree in cyber security and is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 236, Khaki Group.
